Why did I contribute to L2F?

Girls Like Us is a confidential, peer support group for lesbian, bisexual, and questioning women ages 25 and under, sponsored by the GLBT Student Support Services Office of Indiana University. We were asked to participate, and we agreed, seeing this as an opportunity to grow as a group and to discuss the sometimes painful issues and emotions associated with coming out. Our project is a tree representing coming out as a personal growth process, for which there is no one certain path. The branches represent the many paths one could take to coming out, and the leaves represent both the emotions associated with, and the kinds of people we must come out to in our daily lives. We are pleased to contribute to a project that seeks to promote acceptance through open artistic expression and discussion.
